Father's day at Fairfax Circle (Cameron's). We only had a total of about 12 cars there this morning, but it did include 3 NoVA Lotus members (though not all at once...)

Greg Smoak brought his VW bug, and Bob Scates drove his Esprit.

I'd say that the Fairfax Circle C & C is 'back'. We had about 20 cars there today. I met Mark Franke there at 8:00AM. (Cameron's, the coffee/chocolate/bakery there, doesn't open until 8:00AM, so this is not an ultra-early event.)

It rained last night. Quite a lot.

Good: At 70F, it was 9 degrees cooler this morning than yesterday morning for Katie's.

Not as good: The roads were a bit damp, and it was humid. Still, the faithful came out.

We had a pretty good turnout today - very diverse. You can't much complain about having a Lamborghini Murcielago, a painfully-original VW bus, a genuine '32 Ford roadster, a bagged vintage Caddy, and a Beck Spyder, all at the same place.

Three Lotus attended today's Fairfax Circle C & C - my Seven, Bob Scates' Esprit, and Annie's Esprit. (I did not get any pictures of Annie's car, because she arrived right after I left)...

A cool, crisp Sunday morning at Cameron's. This is a much smaller get-together than many, but the quality of people and cars is very good. Unfortunately, mine was the only Lotus there today.

A pretty good & varied turnout today, including (again) two Lotus - Jim Hurd showed up with his Evora.

A really nicely-restored MGA (with an MGB engine in it) showed up.

A cool morning at Fairfax Circle, with the quality and variety we're coming to expect. Greg Smoak drove his Elise, joining my Seven for another 2-Lotus Sunday at Fairfax Circle. The 1946 Plymouth is owned by the son of the woman who owned it back in the 70's.

The first day of October, and it was 44F when I left the house. No Lotus there (besides mine), but we had a guy show up with what he said was a McLaren MP12C. After an accident, he had it severely customized, with a McLaren P1 nose, and some other-model McLaren parts. Note the exhausts exiting from above the rear bumper. Nicely done!

I've been away for a couple of weeks, but it's good to get back to Fairfax Circle (Cameron's) this Sunday. It's not a huge gathering, but the people are great, and the cars are gorgeous!

The black car that looks like a Ferrari 308 is actually a Fiero-based kit car, including real Campagnolo wheels.

A really mild Sunday morning, for late November - 40 degrees and clear. This is a fairly small get-together, but a really nice group of people, with a good variety of cars. A couple of families came by, with 5 kids. Several of us invited the kids to sit in our cars, which they appreciated.

It was cold but calm weather this morning, so turnout at Fairfax Circle was light, but enthusiastic. It was me, Mike, Chuck, Howard, Laura, and Bob S. and Ed. I'm having battery problems with the Elise, and the Seven was blocked by two other cars, so I was Lotusless today.

There were only two of us at Cameron's on Christmas Eve - at least, only two of us were there for the 30 minutes I was there, before leaving for Christmas with the family... Paul's '32 Ford looks great next to our Elise.

The ice and snow on the roads kept most of us away from the last Katie's of the year, on Saturday, 12/30/17. A few of us couldn't tolerate an entire long weekend of no car stuff, so we went to Fairfax Corner on a frigid last day of 2017.

Chuck drove his Porsche Macan, and Mike D. arrived in his Porsche Cayenne. I drove our Subaru Legacy. Hmmm.... Who is the pretender here? I am driving the only car of the three with a horizontally-opposed 6 cylinder.

Bob,

I noticed that all your meets include Mr. Paul's 32 Ford. My first car was a 32 or 33 roadster hot rod, with '51 Mercury V-8. Wish I had it back. It's nice to see a hot rod in with the sport-car crowd. Pretty much the same thing to me.
