Please PM me if you have a set you're looking to part with. I want a different look on my Storker.

Hey Mike,

You will be very happy with the Caterham clams. I used them from a '97 standard chassis (not SV) and installation was a breeze. Make sure you you use the left and right Caterham front mounts that also have the headlight mounts. You will need to also have the Stalker engine bay side covers which a lot of folks don't install on their Stalkers. The clams are also bolted to the side panels as well. You will also need to cut off the Stalker headlight mounts as they interfere with the Caterham front mounts. Finally, you will need to fabricate a split tube mount to attach the front mounts to the frame. The split tube detail is the last photo from the front right side of the frame.

Hi Jack,

The clamshells look great on your car. I checked out your photos in the Storker gallery several times before making my decision. Seems like a straight forward job. I may only do a partial side engine bay cover instead of a full enclosure.

Mike,

I intended to call you last night but the evening got away from me. A partial cover would work fine. The full wrap around was a pretty good challenge. Check out Mark Scott's approach in the Gallery on chassis 112. That would be more than enough and easy to do.

I have often thought about adding the clams to #21 now that I have most of the development work done on the turbocharged Ecotec project. Really happy how that is working out.

I have been helping a friend with his new build on chassis 106 which is taking far more time than should be required (over 2 years now). Just about to get it finished for a big show in late August here in Indy. Need to finish the wiring and fire it up. Body panels are back from the paint shop yesterday.

Looking forward to Shane's move to the Indianapolis area. He dropped me a text about your thoughts on the clams. Good choice.

Mike, glad you and Jack got together on the clams. And Jack, I'll be coming up to Indy on the 22nd. Looking forward to meeting you and Dave in person.

Shane,

Give me a call or text when you get into town.

Found a pair of clamshells. They were manufactured by Curtis Unlimited. They are 3" wider in the front.
