7evin
Just wanted to say thanks to those hard core 7's lovers who showed up to support us at the UTCC. and all of you that voted for all of us. Al showed up and brought us a cool 7's banner to hang from the rig, which we will be proudly displaying at every event we go to. Brock Yates Jr. came in and hung with us for a while. Bob came by and spent the day with us providing us with invaluable support and advice... Thank you thank you. I have give a VERY special thanks to my friends from Demans, Paul and Dino..... When these guys heard we ..... I wrecked MOJO, they called right away and offered their Beautiful Orange Beast to the Organic Racing team so that we could still compete..... I have to say I was floored by this act of unselfishness. Not only do they build a GREAT car, But they are also GREAT guys. Dino went 2 days without sleep prepping the car and driving it down from Chicago. I ask for slicks and he showed up with brand new R6s on the car. If you haven't got to know these 2 guys yet, Make time to do so. Very bright and very motivated.:flag: http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/463737251_DSCN4752.JPG Dino and I robbing parts from the 2008 F250 rental truck to upgrade his car. http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2046472373_DSCN4749.JPG Dino and I performing the "F 250 Upgrade" http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1154560229_DSCN4743.JPG The Crew.... Its a good thing because I don't know how they tolerate us.... http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1090907986_DSCN4763.JPG I also wanted to say thanks to Jeff "Dr. R1" for helping us out and making us proud when would drop the hammer on that wicked bad orange 1 liter beast... I think we should have put on the same #s and really confused the field.... Cheers Kevin

BobDrye
Kevin: It was great spending the day with you and Michelle. When you get down to it it's about people. Dino and all everybody from Deman were committed. I enjoyed your out of the box thinking the most. Michelle worked hard all day doing her thing to support the effort empirically. Still want to meet Loren. Off for a 2 week vacation. P.S. Down to 2.7 seconds 0-60 @ 26 psi.

Deman USA
We used the rubber 90degree boot off of the tubo intake side for our intake to make a 90degree bend to collect cold air instead of hot air behind the radiator. Kevin i would like to thank you for driving out of your way to race our car even though it had a overheating problem. Thanks for helping us figure it out. By the way, i installed a C&R radiator and a 14inch 2300CFM fan compared to the stock 12ich 850CFM fan. The car has now problem as of now, and looks good for Run-N-Gun. You better get ready Kevin. R1 Seven
Kind of late to the party here...I was at the track all weekend, so I have an excuse. It was good to see all you guys at VIR a couple of weeks ago. Like I said in the other thread, you guys deserve to get some sort of extra effort award. Of course, based on some of the one lap stories that I read from this year, extra effort is standard operating procedure for you guys! Hopefully our paths will cross again before too long. BobDrye
Just thought that I would post a snap shot from the data logger. Look at the TPS sensor and the relationship of time between the duration 1st and second gear. One of the challenges with a car with a big turbo is that you do not load the turbo in 1st gear, so that when you shift to second you have an explosion of boost. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/9387523_2nd gear.jpg The figures @ the end are not accurate. I'm not having any problem with traction @ this time. The car hooks up very quick. I have a type of drag radial on the car @ this time. When the boost comes on @ the rate that it does "what a rush"
slngsht
Bob, do those graphs show 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift? at what speed are you able to go to the floor? I don't see MPH.
BobDrye
Bob, do those graphs show 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift? at what speed are you able to go to the floor? I don't see MPH. The TPS graph just shows the 1st to 2nd gear shift. The car has 4 systems that data log. The one that I displayed is the Zietronics wide band. The log represents about 60% throttle in both gears. The Digi Dash log was not displayed. That would show mph. The peak RPM in 1st and 2nd gear was 8500. Although I love the ride, no one should be impressed by the 0-60 time. If the 0-60 was on street tires that would be different. There are no tags on the car yet so that the only place that I have driven it is in the parking lot. I am not comfortable with my boost control system yet. I do not want to drive it on the street until I am. It would be too dangerous. The Borg Warner S200 Turbo dyno sheet shows that @30 lbs of boost you develop 550-600 hp. My 2nd gear blast probaly developed about 485 rear wheel hp. That figure is not impressive for the engine build either. SR20DETs can be street driven easily @ over 600 hp. I think that in the future we will see street driven Sevens with over 800 hp. A dyno friend of mine has scheduled an appointment for an Ultima with a 1800 hp twin turbo small block. That combination weighs less than 2000 lbs, has good aero, and will be be "very impressive". I can't tell you how many people tell my very sick and demented friend Loren and I that we are not right, Have a screw loose, Need a psychological examination, and the list goes on...... and on..... Mostly about him..... We have talked about stroking the 2.0L to a 2.5L and adding the supercharger to it and maybe squeezing 500 HP out of it.... giving us a 2.6 lbs/per hp. Sick yes... Indy car is around 1.5lbs /per hp..... BUT YOU are off the scale.....600 to 800 that puts you into indy car territory...... You make me feel so much better about being me..... I knew there was a reason I liked you from the very beginning !!!! I must let you know, Just in case someone has failed to inform you, You are very not Right.. I never thought you could have toooo much HP,,, But I think you might be getting very close. Go for it. Cheers 7evin
