I did email the guy that posted it on Craigslist, he is selling it for a friend. It was taken apart many years ago and stored in an attic. He is no longer able to work on the car and will not sell parts, all or nothing at this point. I am waiting for another email with the chassis number or photo of the number plate. Hopefully we can find out some history.

Maybe it's not that strange after all;  When Lotus Sevens were built at the Cheshunt factory starting in '59 thru the move to Hethel in '66, they were assembled in an upstairs loft.

I guess it is an early series 2, sort of, before the 1500 was fitted? I heard that Lotus looked at the series 1 and removed a few tubes designing the series 2 so I guess that is why it does not seem to have the diagonal 3/4 rounds next your knees and ankles like my series 1. Perhaps the stressed skins were supposed to be good enough. The conversion to disc brakes might be easy with old Spitfire or GT6 parts. Quite a project ( I know well), so hope they can find the chassis number.

I worked with a guy who disassembled a jeep and put it in his attic. As suspected the guy was weird.
