slngsht Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Ford Focus stops faster than a Caterham R400 according to morons at AutoCar. See for yourself. Do they even look at this crap before posting it? At least Ariel Atom tied the Focus in braking
HPC Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 The Caterham run was done in the wet. That might explain it.
solder_guy Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Dang .. I need to go get me a Ford Focus! Rob
7evin Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Well smoking all 4 tires to get stopped does nothing but improve your ride with flat spots. I guess these boys do not know how to stop quickly without ABS. the Cat isn't even making it to 100 in less than 11 seconds but the atom does it in 6....? Of course the atom does have the engine in the rear... I'm sure that is helping with standing water on the track....
DeanG Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I guess the Focus was put there so the Ariel could smoke something. The 211 looked pretty good. Both the 211 and the Caterham had some wet conditions.
Boxologist Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 i don't think the Fukkus ever hit 100. think it ran out of tarmac and hitting a wall slowed it down the quickest.

BobDrye Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I wonder how bad condtions had to be to cancel the test? It's just bad ink.
Titus Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I wonder how bad condtions had to be to cancel the test? It's just bad ink. This is filmed in the UK... If they canceled a car test every time there was a little rain, they would never get enough material together to produce a show.
