Very well done by the organizers and of course beautiful weather! The "Hybrid" theme was kind of quirky, but brought out several cars I had only seen in pictures (NSU, Bitter, Scimitar...). Maybe these are common in the Greenville area, but that was part of the reason to travel and see something different. And, I got to meet Bill and J and put faces to fellow forum members! Great event and well worth the trip! Joe Good to hear!! Great idea the annual destination show! Do you recall what model NSU was it? (I learned to drive on an NSU 1000C)
Joe Petty Posted April 15 Posted April 15 NSU Ro80, Rotary engine well appointed 4 door sedan. Excellent condition! Never saw one before and I thought it was French! 1

Cars and Coffee this month is at Michelin, then back to Bridgeway Station next month. Uncertain what I'll bring at this time, maybe the Caterham if I get it safely back on the road by then. Bill

Never saw one before and I thought it was French! This is magnificent!! I love the Ro80. Always lusted after one. Ground breaking car in so many ways, so ahead of its time. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the 3 speed semi-automatic (with clutch activation by a force switch in the gearshift lever). Should have had a 5 speed.... Haven't seen one in person for a very long time. Even more sorry now I had to miss the show. Great you took the pic! Edited April 15 by Yoram

I just hate to get up early in the morning... 1
UglyFast Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Oh yeah. Late to the thread but we went. 7.2 and all. Great meeting Joe and that EXCELLENT 67! We wandered, a lot. Then ate, then wandered more. My usual cars and coffee tactic is arrive early then Irish goodbye about an hour later lol. This event was… protracted. For me. My first Euro. The hybrid theme was… something. No offense, but their copywriter could’ve done better imo. To be perfectly honest was a bit of a weird vibe for me. Only the 2nd “car show” I’ve paid to participate in…. The other was Special Olympics, for the kids. Anyways, some interesting cars. Strange to see an F40 reflected in a yellow Testarossa and *neither* of those win either of the Ferrari categories. Those were won by rather blasé Italians, in my opinion. Met some cool people though. Got a t-shirt. Stunner of a day. Would’ve maybe been better spent with a couple folks in cars on some twisty roads. But I had some kids sit in 7.2. Makes me happy that it makes others happy. That’s the entire point. That and blats and very tight curves. lol 1 1
