MV8 Posted April 10, 2024 Posted April 10, 2024 Since you intend to modify, you could use the engine and chassis as the jig, with the chassis and engine supported with wood or stands (lifting the engine relative to the chassis slightly to where the bracket will sit in place without squeezing/preloading the mount). Make the ends of the bracket, bolt those on, then fab the middle as you need it to be for position and belt alignment. Card board is very useful for making perfect templates to use as patterns for the steel. Tack it all together, remove, weld, recheck fit, then paint.
