IamScotticus Posted August 18 Posted August 18 (edited) There are old stock MGB633 out there but I think I was reading on Merlin that these are superceded by a new item that replaces the 1144 and 1155 compounds by backing the 1144 with a higher temperature backing layer giving the heat tolerance of 1155, and removing some nasty offensive materials to suit the greenies. "Mintex's new MRM1802 compound replaces the Mintex 1144 compound and some 1155 applications. This MRM1802 is a medium friction compound specifically developed for track day, Circuit, Rally and Historic racing. Encompassing an average friction of 0.43 µ MRM1802 offers the controllability and positive feel of M1155, while the new thermal underlayer increases high temperature performance and longevity. MRM1802 is also Eco friendly to Euro 4 standard, with no copper or other rare earth resources. It also takes less energy to manufacture." Perhaps searching for "MGB533-MRM1802" will get current results. Edited August 18 by IamScotticus

Meanwhile, I have received Green Stuff pads via Amazon. I don't have the car here at the moment, as my tuner has not yet stuffed an engine into it. See my build thread. Edited August 27 by pethier 1

I believe my Mintex pads have arrived. My car is with me, and it runs now. 1
