xromad
Took a couple of Cobra owners out for a run in the country. They enjoyed the "Brisk" pace.... :-) We called it the "Frozen Snot Run" http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=13588&g2_serialNumber=1 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=13590&g2_serialNumber=1 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=13578&g2_serialNumber=1 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=13580&g2_serialNumber=1 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=13584&g2_serialNumber=1 http://75.73.114.187//oddfellows/november2007/2007_snotRun_19.jpg Brent
slngsht
man, that's great! After owning a seven, i realize owning a cobra is not in the cards for me, but I've loved those for a long time.
Al N.
Ah, a quonset hut! Thanks for the pix Brent....Mazda, can/should this go into "events" section? I took Orange out yesterday too...first time in WEEKS. Short blat, but a great reminder of what makes these cars so fun. For the record, I drained the batttery trying to cold start it on Sat, plugged it in and shot some pyroil starting fluid (ether) into the ITBs and it held the most consistent cold-start idle ever on Sunday. Also got the trailer into the garage (it was like that scene in Austin powers when he tries to make a 3 point turn, and it turns out more like an 11 pointer. I moved it from the Member Rides section to General Sevens discussion. I think organizing an event, and pre-event communications should go in the events sections, but the pic thread afterwards would be good in the "General Sevens Discussion" section for all to enjoy. eVox
I believe I read somewhere that the Cobra is the worlds most recognizable sports car, followed by the seven. They are also the two most replicated vehicles. Neat pictures :]

southwind25
in this great process, of trying to determine what direction to take..we as well looked at the cobra kit cars. some were actually very nice! well built, fast,,,but mary sorta had to speak up...when you own a Cobra, it seems as if perhaps your trying to make up for something? hehehe..big brutish cars..or is that british...not sure. as well..we will stick with our petite interests.. we have always subscribed to light and agile. recent developments..we have found a "7" that might very well work for us..and have the ability to keep the old beater ginetta g4 to still rebuild as time goes on. stay tuned. Kitcat
I live 30' from Ross Ohio, home of Rossion Motorcars (formerly 1G Racing). They were the exclusive importer for the Noble and now make the Rossion (sort of a reskinned/upgraded Noble). Anyhow, their bread and butter vehicle for years has been the Cobra replica which greatly outsells the Noble. They also marketed a Seven clone called the Superperformance S1. All of these vehicles are made in the same factory in S. Africa, and sold exclusively though the company's small headquarters in Ross. I enjoyed a spirited run up there just this last weekend in my 7, which fit right in with all of the Cobras and other exotics parked everywhere in their garage. gjslutz
As an owner of a 7 type (Birkin) and an X owner of a Cobra (CSX3300), I find the 7 type more to my liking now. I find I can have more fun at speeds below 100 and with the Cobra and most others it was all about much higher speeds. Having had one too many crotch rockets, I learned the general population wasn't thinking in those speeds. I now have a great time in this little crude, cold, tight ride. When home, it is the ride of choice. Still driving it in the 40' days. For me it must be age related.
southwind25
Gary, thought you might be interested, we are currently looking at a birkin. The idea of the newer ginetta is financially unwise at this time, we will probably keep the ginetta we have, and try and buy the Birkin we are looking at. once again, thanks for the ride. gjslutz
Robert, the pleasure was mine. I think you will enjoy the Birkin. With me it was a coin toss between the Birkin & Caterham, and wanting an WCM as #1 choice. I'm still trying to get a cost on HP for the Birkin, if it comes in ok I'll be out of the market for a WCM. Now that I have the Birkin pedal box sorted out, I do enjoy it. There is a performance Swap Meet at the Stark County fair grounds this week end, with vendors inside as well. I don't know if they will have Zetec items though.
