manik Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I have to admit I never knew this plane existed before today. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/?p=1914 Wow! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/001.jpg http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=418953&d=1204395202
Kitcat Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Looks like the drive shaft from the aft motors to the forward propeller has to pass thru the cockpit. As in right thru the pilot. How does that work?
powderbrake Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Do you think the pilot is thinking about a driveshaft hoop?:ack:
scannon Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Looks like the drive shaft from the aft motors to the forward propeller has to pass thru the cockpit. As in right thru the pilot. How does that work? Look at the top view, you can see the aft engine's C/L is skewed to the left and a drive shaft routes the power to the left of the pilot. The forward engine has its driveshaft on the right side of the pilot. Here is a link to the history of this airplane Bugatti Type 100
