Yes

I don't know what the focus of this forum is but I'm a 7 lover. I fell in love with the Stalker V6 the first time I saw it in GRM mag several years ago.

I sold my GT-3 Toyota last year. I retired last year and now it's time.

I can't start the actual build for about 18 months but I put feelers out for a motor and Tranny and I am accumulating parts. I hope to have most everything by the time I'm ready. Now I just hope Brunton Motors does'nt go out of business.

Welcome. I'm sure Bruton will not go out of business as they've made quite a name for themselves with lots of postive reviews from owners and non-owners alike. We've all been through the anticipation of acquring a car and/or beginning a build and can relate. You'll have a ball.

The focus here is LSiS which is a catch all term for any Lotus Seven Inspired Sportscar; whatever that may mean to the participants. As is expected, most on here probably have their personal preferences, but the discourse is as brand-agnostic as you'll find anywhere and provided you have an unhealty obsession with funny looking little cars you'll be welcomed. :)

RacerDan, be sure to come to KC Aug 30,31 for the Midwest Se7ens Gathering. There should be lots of Se7ens of all types and brands to look at and maybe even get to ride in. There will be several, like you, that have not started or are in the process of building their car. If you are interested email me at trialsman@kc.rr.com so I can put you on the email list. And tell Fred about it also, Russ

Russ

I posted a reply but it must have gone into limbo...

I'd love to come up in August. The first 914 event I attended was in Hot Springs and all I had to show was pictures of a pile of car parts.

Wife and I love KC. We haven't been in a couple of years but love the Plaza lights at Christmas.

I just realized I sent that other e-mail to you rather than post. "alzhiemers"

Racer Dan; Welcome to the USA7s group.

Building a car is the perfect after retirement "job" . I did it, and it keeps you busy, while you learn the basics of retirement, i.e., if you don't get it done today, you can work on it tomorrow.....or not.

If you havent yet contacted Dennis Brunton at Stalker, do so before you collect too many parts. He will send you in the right direction, and hook you up with other Stalker owners.
