slngsht Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 chop chop curious thing about smart car is that it is not particularly inexpensive, and it doesn't get as good a mileage as the 5 passenger Prius
Winston Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 curious thing about smart car is that it is not particularly inexpensive, and it doesn't get as good a mileage as the 5 passenger Prius  It's at least $8,000 cheaper than the Prius, though, and is gasoline-only. That's a plus for some people, who are afraid of long-term battery/electronics issues. It's also much easier to park in congested cities. The Smart is definitely a city car. Aerodynamics and lack of power cause it to suffer a bit on the highway.
DeanG Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Can we get a picture of a Smart car with a Se7en body kit? And no, I don't meen stretching out the Smart car. A few years ago we spent a couple of weeks in London. I was suprised to see that the high end neighborhoods had clasic mini's and very few smart cars. On thinking about it I was able to figure out why. A mini: seats 4, fits just about any place a smart car will fit, has good milage much more sporting can be restored to like new condition for the price of of Smart car and Its British!
powderbrake Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Its British! Well.............................maybe a little British, now that it's aBMW after all.
