DB6 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) 794 pounds with a mind boggling 10 hp.(thats with full hard top) Notice how the body style and even the head lights look similar to a current 7 even some 90 years later. (Some say they even prefer the "basic no-frills performance of these originals, I saw one hold it's own against an Exige just 2 weeks ago) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1926.Austin.Seven.saloon.jpg On a serious note, how do I upload a pic that shows on here , I can only do the linky thing.? Edited March 2, 2009 by DB6 ?
11Budlite Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 A lot of modified and racing Austin Sevens out there as well. Bruce PS: I went to Manage Attachments. Not sure how it's going to work out...

11Budlite Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 How about one for sale: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C77627 Bruce
DB6 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Looks like fun. I love the steering wheel and the huge mirror hidden in the cowl.
TheDingo8MyBaby Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 How about one for sale: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C77627 Bruce I'm more interested in the mallock behind it (though pink isn't really my color)
Innominatus Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 How about one for sale: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C77627 Bruce Those look like a ton of fun. Slow, but they look really tossable on those skinny tires. Here's some onboard vid from that very car: I'm more interested in the mallock behind it (though pink isn't really my color) Me too -- I was hoping it was an FJr Mallock U2, but it seems to be another Austin 7, called the WEV Special:
scannon Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Me too -- I was hoping it was an FJr Mallock U2, but it seems to be another Austin 7, called the WEV Special: With a better color that car would be truly beautiful. Skip
TheDingo8MyBaby Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Interesting. That explains the wire wheels....
