RGTorque
this is a not a simple question to answer. many 7's you have spotted here are of different makes. please give us a little bit more information regarding the car you have and perhaps we could better help you. jlbtrans1
We currently get our parts from Caterham USA http://www.uscaterham.com/ They are located in Colorado. Very reliable and have a great selection of parts.

Kitcat
I have been getting all my (many) Caterham parts from Chris at Sevens and Elans in the Boston area. I started with Caterham/Rocky Mountain Sports Cars, but they would occasionally drop the ball, stop answering their phone, etc., etc. But they were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, as is Chris. It is all you need. I really like it as it makes it much easier for me to get out of the car with my damaged right shoulder. The downside is you don't want to leave the car with it on as someone can easily steal the steering wheel. That means lugging it into restaurants, etc. Your existing steering wheel should fit the hub although if you have the horn button in the middle of the wheel I don't think the slip ring will work with the detachable wheel hub and you may have to put a horn button on the dash. My SV already had the horn button on the dash. Check with CAT USA to find out for sure. Caterham USA is a good place for parts although sometimes you have to keep calling them to get the info you need. Skip
MNlotus
i ordered the boss and column, but was wondering if this steering wheel will work with it? https://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=117_118&products_id=1579&osCsid=6ea064b76604ab7eb16701f8b4270c1a

If you are not set on suede covering, I have the original MOMO that came on my Caterham for sale, it will fit the hub and has a nice padded cover over the metal hub and spokes. It was removed from the car before I put it on the road. I also have a used Momo-lita wheel for sale. Skip
MNlotus
would this work as a plug in for my radar detector? https://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=104_176&products_id=1488&osCsid=6ea064b76604ab7eb16701f8b4270c1a

MNlotus
Jeez, was that car contaminated with the upgrade bug already when you got it? You know that this disease robs you of any reasoning power? Gert no i was contaminated with upgrade bug a long time ago. it started 3 years ago when i bought my elise. this is what my elise look like today. i have spent just as much buying my elise, as i have buying upgrades for it. i don't want to do as much to the seven. this is what i have planned so far. -V1 radar detector -quick release steering wheel -some carbon fiber parts (dash and indicator mounting cone) -new lighter seats -switch from a windshield to a windkick if its legal -in the future maybe a motorswap? Kitcat
I just weighed the Tillet carbon fiber seat I have in my basement (awaiting eventual installation). On a bathroom scale it weighs about 4 1/2 lbs, the mounting brackets/hardware weigh abt 6 1/2 lbs for a total of 11lbs. I doubt the existing stock cloth seat and brackets weighs much more, its basically a structured throw pillow. The leather ones probly are a bit heavier. The reason I am doing the Tillet is it has an anchor belt cut out and I do track days a coupla times a year. It also holds me much more snugly, tho wont be nearly as comfortable on trips. I find the cloth seats with their generous thigh support and amount of rake supremely comfortable, especially when paired with an aftermarket lumbar pillow. Charlie
Worth having a look on http://www.carbon-bits.com/ They do blank carbon dash panels so you can customise your switch arrangement. http://www.demon-tweeks.com do international sales for detachable wheels & all sorts of other goodies.
