Looks like my boring Hyundai isn't that bad, after all

I have been driving a Hyundai Santa Fe as tow car for the Seven for some 6 years and have been quite happy (as one can be who took it to the shop only for the regular maintenance and an irregular accident). Quite economic for the size but otherwise I agree a pretty boring piece of hardware.

Anyway, the latest J.D. Power report ranks Hyundai's initial quality in 4th position just behind Lexus, Porsche and Cadillac but in front of Honda and Toyota.

Now that makes me feel better :D

The only thing that bothers me if I ever get to enjoy the benefit of the 10-year power train warranty....I know it is going to break in 2014

I like it a lot, it's fun to drive, reasonably quick with the V6, handles good (easy to drift :p) build quality is pretty good, albeit some of the plastics could be better, but given the price.... I would probably have one with the V6 if I was in the market for such a vehicle. If you have the extra money a 370z or G37 is arguably better, but figuring cost the Hyundai is a great car.

Pretty much all of Hyundai's line up has come a long way. The Genesis Sedan is a damn good luxury sport sedan (more emphasis on luxury though) too

My '07 Hyundai Accent grocery-getter is super reliable and super economical in the first 40,000 miles....

if only I could drive the Caterham more than a few blocks at a time :-(
