Hank
First: Drove to a car show and the bottom fell out of the clouds. The 20 mile drive home in the rain was uneventful. No rain in the cockpit above 30mph. Beautiful. Second: Driving to my mom's house and a motorcycle rider coming towards me put his arm down and pointed to the ground. I hesitated for a split second, but I quickly gave him my left arm out the left side before I passed him. I couldn't go too far down or I would have hit my hot exhaust pipe! Next encounter was a Harley rider passing me in the same flow of traffic. Once he passed me he slowed down to admire the Yoshimura exhaust and the factory Hayabusa dash. I got an actual thumbs up from the Harley rider. I'm excited to say the least! Maybe motorcycle owners do respect us BEC guys/gals.
JohnCh
Thumbs up from motorcycles is pretty common in all manner of se7en. I think most riders recognize that we are almost as twisted as they are ;-) -John
Hank
John, do you think me wearing a full motorcycle helmet has anything to do with it? I just assumed Harley guys would frown upon my white rollerskate with Yoshimura pipe and crotch rocket engine. I guess I was wrong.
scannon
Most bikers seem to like Se7ens. I get lots of looks, thumbs ups and low five waves from them. Often at stops they come over to check out the car. Early on with my car I got a low five wave from a motorcycle cop. Like John said, we're brothers in twistedness. SevenAmerica
When I told a Harley rider I had 948cc's he laughed heartily... you should have seen his face drop when I told him the car weighed in just over 900 lbs... "... my Harley weighs more than that" he said soberly :-)))
Arya Ebrahimi
I drove Frankn7 to Virginia Beach from DC last weekend and the response from bikers on I-95 was incredible. I got so many waves, thumbs up, nods, etc I think a couple even felt threatened cause they decided to show off by doing wheelies and such. Oh yeah, and I got caught in 3 cloudbursts on the way back. Other than getting soaked from the waste up, the rain events were uneventful.
eVox
i love how much respect the seven gets from bike. It makes me want to do a bec. I've come to realize how much more bikers seem to enjoy blats than car owners. I think my favorite encounter had a turbo busa rider telling me I was crazy for what I was driving
DeanG
I think the average Harley rider is older and probably remembers the Seven from the car magazines of his youth.
