driftin in the rain

Did some drifting last weekend. Half the day was wet too.

My friend/tow driver is an awesome photographer (I feel), and got some cool shots of me trying to get sideways.

Fun stuff! Anyone else have wet driving pictures?

Absolutely awesome photos. The website is full of cars under varying states of control.....in a perfect place to experiment.

Great photos of your car - and you looking like a drowned rat soaking wet in one of them! :smilielol5:

I am like Hank....love to know more about the wing and how you find it works...

Yeah the drift events are great for that- keeping it off the streets is the only option. I can't wait for dedicated drift courses so the endless search for parking lots (for legal drifting events) will be over.

The wing...well its pretty far beyond stall angle, has a unsmooth lower profile, and was purchased from a junkyard for $6. I've only ever run it at drifting events (not really PC enough for the street) where im going slow or sideways...but it seems to make me drift better :D

Someday hopefully i can do some more technical testing, but for now its just for show.

I hope some of you might consider drifting you cars...it is very challenging, yet feels amazing once you nail your first slide. It can be harsh on cars, but take your time and check things and it'll be ok.

I keep pushing for Williamsburg VA to create an asphalt lake city park. It could be used for car shows, auto-X, drifting, event parking... I think it would be a great boost to its convention business.

Not drifting, but Autocrossing in the wet at 2005 Run & Gun at Gateway International Speedway in Madison Il, across the river from St.louis.

It was fun, but with trying to get good autocross times, you can't get out of shape like eVox did in his drifting. I'll bet there is a big grin behind that full face helmet he has.
