I am looking for a new 7 and saw this post. Based on the small warning from the poster I did a little searching. Here is a link to what I found:

http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/new-england-classic-car-co-c142328.html

I plan to heed the warning from these prior customers of the seller. It makes sense not to provide additional advertizing for this seller.

Anyone with a good 7 I am still looking.

Thanks for posting that link Gary. I have read that in the past and was unsure if I should attach that link to every se7en he has for sale. Although I don't think we should be helping him by advertising his cars, I do think it's important to spread the word to the se7en community to be aware in potential dealings with NECCCo. I've communicated with a few people that had bought cars from him based on his website and the number of years he's been in business, and to put it mildly they were very disappointed with the results. I've visited his showroom one time in the early 90's to look at a vintage racing Bugeye and was a "little" surprised at the asking price based on the condition of the car. If the car had real race history and not vintage race history from the late 80's the price would have made more sense! Being involved with 911's for a short time I was always told to get a PPI on any car I was interested in purchasing. My recommendation to anyone thinking of buying from NECCCo would be to do the same. His reaction to asking for an independent PPI could be entertaining!

There is an interesting discussion on the "lotus se7ens" mailing list concerning this car. I don't feel like I can quote some of the responses but to anyone interested in a genuine Lotus Seven I urge you to join the list. Or contact John D. at http://www.simplesevens.org/ who is an excellent resource on original Sevens.

There has been previous discussion on this site concerning NECCCo as well: http://usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3327&highlight=england+classic
