I haven't seen a rotary engine car like this before. One would think the rotary's compact dimensions and light weight would be a natural fit for our cars. This car sure seems to be a handy buy, especially if it has been properly fettled.

rotories are compact, but not particularly light.

I didn't know you could change your BIN and ad a reserve once the auction had already started. Someone should have bought it yesterday and saved $1k.

If no one has placed a bid then changes can still be made to the auction. But I thought there would be, at least, a notification of the changes.

Had a caterham with a rotary. When I first got it the motor and trany were placed too far forward. Difficult to get any rear grip. Once taken care of was a great car.

Rotary motors lack torque which was not an issue with such a light car. The smoothness, HP, and willingness to rev made it a good fit for a 7. I really liked the smoothness. Also if you have every rebuilt a rotary you will appreciate how simple a job it is.

Negatives were it was thirsty, did not sound quite right, and as stated above the motor is small and dense so placement is more critical.

This seems like a really good buy

Looks like it sold for 16K. I have a rotory RX-7 and I love the never ending revs. They are compact and not really heavy but not made out of aluminum either. A perfect motor for a 7. Somebody got a great buy!
