powderbrake
At home I refer to it as "the Seven" or "the Ultralite". When people ask me what it is , I say it's a replica of a Lotus 7. Yes, it's not a "replica" in the true sense, as something indistinguishable from the original, but they don'y even know what a seven is. Frequently I have to explain that a Lotus is a British sports car.
Oyagi
Well, having owned my Fejer 7 for a week now I've been constantly asked what the heck it is and the only answer that seem to work is "It's a 67 Lotus". Its not of course, but it seems the year 1967 seem to make sense when they look at it since its obviously not something designed yesterday. sporqster
I have just taken to telling people it's a 2003 Lotus Seven. -Even though it's a Locost with no Lotus parts on it at all. People just can't wrap their head around the possibility that the car was built by some guy in a garage, and has no manufacturer per se.

Kitcat
"Old reliable":). Actually, after many descriptions that my wife didn't grasp, i finally showed up in it in person and she shouted:"Why, it's a little roadster". So that's how it is known to friends and family.
