ottocycle Posted September 1, 2010 Share Posted September 1, 2010 I believe the square plates are for checking camber and toe. By applying heat to a solid axle one can warp (bend) it slightly to alter the toe and the camber of the wheels. They might be used in this instance to monitor movement in the axle as the brace is being welded. Just my 2c. Cheers. Dermot. PS. Al, you might find out when they send you a bill!!!
