magicbob Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Well the wife has given her blessing to build a locost. So I think my first order of business is to find someone relatively local and see if I can get my big butt into and out of one. I am in Akron, Ohio and am willing to drive a 100 miles or so to see one up close. I have been lurking here and on other boards for a few years, and have a pretty good idea of what I want to build. Thanks Bob
11Budlite Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Welcome Bob! I'm from Ct so I can't really help you, but there are some Seven owners from your area that are on this forum that should be able to help you out.
andrew7 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Hi Bob, I'm 70-80 miles from Akron. I have two different types of Locost and your welcome to come check out the build pictures and cars. I'm recovering from a blown Appendices and not cleared to drive. Depending how big you are you might not fit in dads car, its a standard width Locost. I can PM you details if your interested.
magicbob Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Andrew, Thanks for the invite, I am a rather large guy over 6'1 and over 250. I pretty well know I will not fit a standard book car, I would still love to come and check them out and pick your brain for a while. Thanks Bob

magicbob Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 holy crap, it's been a while sense I looked at this board. Job change, working out of town, plain ol life. Oh well still thinking about this, so if the car in Copley is still around, I sure would like to check it out.
SCCA7 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Hi Bob, I have a Locost that I started that I've been thinking of selling as I have just too many other car projects. I've collected alot of parts and would make a great package deal for all. Contact Craig Chima in Akron as he know more about building Lotus 7's than anyone. Peter peter@nobudgetracing.com
