twobone Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I usually live to regret this, but once in a while I get a custom plate for my cars. Given the obsurity of a Caterham in Canada and the fun factor of the car it might be fun to get some kind of custom plate. Its a British Racing Green 1990 Caterham Sprint Ideas? "TYPE 49" I've always liked that race car "SUPER7" "CATERHM"
slngsht Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I never had a vanity plate before, so my seven was the first one... FRANKN7
scannon Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Like Mazda, I've never had a vanity plate before. My Caterham has ONABLAT on its plate. I usually go for anonymous numbers and the lowest visibility plate available but I figured if someone wants to report me to the cops in my Caterham it probably won't matter what the plate number is. The plate on my Miata is the now discontinued Colorado "Denim" version. It was discontinued at the request of the cops because it was hard to read. Its old and faded a bit and pretty much cannot be read much beyond 10'. Every year they ask me to turn it in for a new one but I politely refuse and they give me a new sticker for it.
solder_guy Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 here are some more suggestions: specialty license plates Mine is TOPGEAR .. always gets a laugh at the car shows ..
Taber10 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 My Fla License is "CAT 7SV" It is the special "save the turtles" plate, with the sea turtle pictured between the "T" and the "7" Taber

DLW Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) 7 HEAVN SE7EN K8RHAM LITENSS (Lightness) ADLTNS (referring to "Add lightness") Edited July 29, 2010 by DLW Removing unneeded piece of punctuation
Kitcat Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 As to the 2FNKWIK, noted above, the BMV person really grilled me when I signed up for K8trum7. She was sure it was some kind of obscenity. I had to tell her what my car was, sound out the plate phonetically, and explain how this fitted the car. Even then, her demeanor said she just knew I was pulling a fast one:).
beagley Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 (edited) How about TRK ETR (track eater) or better yet.... TRK KLR (track killer) Edited July 29, 2010 by beagley
g-roadster Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 (edited) I bought Ruadhd2's Rotus. It still has not been delivered. What a nightmare these transporters can be. In Utah you can use old plates if you have a pair. I found a nice pair of 1967 plates that I plan on using, 1967 is registered year of the car. I think that is cooler than vanity plates that are a bit overdone. By the way "ROTUS" is available if I want it. Edited July 30, 2010 by g-roadster
