solder_guy
Is this car real ? Or a model ?
jimrankin
Don't know the car but probably worth a second look, seems to be within reason at 25K or a bit less. Unique dash, not sure that would be my first choice. Lack of low end torque in the rotary isn't such a drawback in a 1300Lb. car so should "drive" OK and really scoot when the rev's come up. Rotary's are fairly heavy but the weight is compact and low so should handle too. Already having an SB100 registration in CA is a plus but not as much of an issue as it was before the economy and along with it the "build a track/road toy" segment did a nosedive. MHKflyer52
My first thoughts when I looked at the e-bay post was that it is a very well done model of a 7. If it is as nice as it looks in the photos and is a real car then it might be a good deal. I wounder who made the car as it says it is a recreation of a 1964 Lotus 7 and from the looks of the engine bay the tube bracing is not something I have seen before an looks very well done. Wish my car looked that good but then I would not enjoy it as much because I would not want to get it dirty.
Newkurt
The 7 from Ca. on ebay is my car. Lotus vin from 1964, no SB100. I did a recreation to correct and update the problems of the originals. It's 1x1 mild steel tube frame Tig welded, and aluminum, I did everything except splash the fiberglass. It currently has 25 hrs. ( hour meter ) street driven, no track time with 1 autocross. It was professionally photographed in a studio.

Automoda
Wow is that a clean engine bay or what? The photography is fantastic. The car is freakin' sweet. I wish you'd tell about it.
Ruadhd2
I have a 13B engine with a 1984 12A transmission. Are your engine/tranny stock? Are they from a 1984/85 GS-LE?
Ruadhd2
Any weather gear, standard windshield, extra wheels, tires? Or is it what you see is what you got?
twobone
If I was a rich man, I would most definitly buy this car and keep it in my living room over the winter and drive it like a madman in the summer. Amazing car

Very nice as I also built my car from scratch and know what effort it takes and goes into it. Mine looks nothing like a model but it is fun.
