Dunno where it is sourced from - could be a drawer slide.

It's is a drawer slide. I am changing to extruded aluminum slides it should be more sturdy and easier to mount.

As west texas said, its drawer slides, a long threaded rod with a knob, and a couple welded bolts. A couple of the cars have electronic linear actuators so drivers can swap out quickly.
