Hank Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/content/46-nembo-super-32.html Do you think it burns oil? http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/content/attachments/22250d1294085189-nembo-super-32_02.jpg.html
Kitcat Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Can you say dry sump? The engine looks huge. What is the point of this arrangement? Doesn't it put the heavy part of the engine up high, to the disadvantage of handling? I suspect there are many reasons this is not the customary engine arrangement.
MHKflyer52 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Just different and I bet it would leak oil like a old radial aircraft engine from the valve guides and rocker covers and fouling plugs like crazy and smoke like a fogger when first started after being run and shut down. Brings back old memories of wiping the oil up from under the C2-A and C-131 I use to fly and how the maintenance crews were always washing the engines with solvent to get the oil off them so they could work on them without getting covered from the dripping oil and hanging a little catch can under the bottom exhaust stacks to catch oil leaking out of the cylinder from being upside down. Nothing like a big old Pratt and Whitney Radial engine for a gray blue smoke startup when cold.
TLRracer Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Or a BMW K series 750 and 1000...... smoky starts galore!
Sean Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Photoshop!!!! The photos in this article are particularly well done in Photoshop, then!
