Martin H
Hi everyone I just found this forum (and wished I had some time ago) as I've been searching for 7 related "stuff" in the US for a while and hadn't got very far. A quick intro is probably in order... I moved to the US from the UK last year, and have been a regular on the Blatchat forum over there since 2000, when I first bought a Caterham 7 to race in the Graduate series. After that I trackdayed the car for a few years, switching to a Fisher Fury BEC for a while before selling up to emigrate to Dallas with my American wife. Gradually settling in here (including acclimatising to the summer), and missing the windy roads/elevation changes back in the UK (and the access to so many circuits). Also missing not having a trackday car - but hoping to look for one in a year or two once we're properly settled, having spent much of our cash setting up home here. Would be good to hear about any events in the area - trackdays etc. that I might be able to come to view to say hello, or any 7 racing in the area. Thanks all Martin

athens7
There are excellent Caterham people in your area; Jeff Sloan at British Auto Specialist in Ft. Worth, as well as several members of this forum. Outside of California (http://www.californiacaterhamclub.com), the Dallas-Ft. Worth area may have the largest collection of 7 and LSIS aficionados in the US. Lucky bloody you!

Martin H
Thanks everyone. Great to hear of some events not too far away - they'll go in my calendar. Will also be an opportunity perhaps to start inducting my son (he's only 21 months but is already nuts about cars - I swear I haven't been influencing him ) Hope to meet some of you in the not too distant future. Sean
Welcome. Thought I would add the Lotus Owners Gathering (LOG), which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada in mid-October. It isn't exactly close to Dallas, but it should be a larger scale event.

Jim, I just rolled in from MSR, had a few drinks with our friend Larry there.

Did he tell you about the yellow Caterham? Andrew is racing again on February 5 and 6 at MSR. What's going on with the yellow 7? Unfortunately I wont be there to see Andrews next races, I am escorting my 17 year old over to the UK for university interviews.. Hopefully we will all be drinking Caipirinhas after the Lemons races!
