Any good Porsche books?

Still thinking about a Porsche as a daily driver instead of my M3. Looking for something lighter to throw around. Any good books on Porsche?

I'm thinking of an 80's 911, or a Boxter S, Cayman S, air-cooled 993 from the late nineties or an early 996.

 

Thought I'd read up on them.

Paul Frere's book is a complete emersion in all things 911.

It is a bit on the technical side, but it gives you deep insight into how each successive model has evolved from the previous.

 

It also helps you understand what is the difference between a 915 vs G50 transmission, what is mechanically the difference in engine, braking system, etc.....between each model.

If you opt for a 993, Adrian Streather's Porsche 993 The Essential Companion is well worth the money.
