Consider herself a Seven widow?

Active participant in the craziness?

Or totally indifferent?

I think mine is a widow http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/angel_anim.gif

frankn7 is getting some beauty sleep (getting new side skin, dash, hood, seats), and some traction aids (torsen rear, 305's) to keep up with y'all.

None of the above!

I must have married well. My wife takes an active interest in my car hobby. It makes here happy to have me at home and in the garage working. She also says that it makes her happy to see me happy. I feel the same way about the things she is interested in. We are good that way. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif

That would make her an "active participant in your craziness" http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif

My wife is closer to an active participant. She came along on USA2005 and is also riding shotgun on PNW2007. She loves to go out in the car on weekends provided I keep the speeds somewhat in line.

After a lot of coercing, I've even convinced her to attend her first PCA Drivers Skills Day next month!

Similar with my wife. She likes the car, accepts it as my predominant time waster and comes out on a few hour blat on the weekends. She really liked the week on the USA2005 tour and will do the full PNW2007 tour this time. But that is more a vacation thing than a car thing. Once you accept the little issues of traveling with a Seven (space, noise, weather etc.) it is a fantastic touring car. And still more comfy than touring with a bike or even just a backpack.

Before USA2005 I signed her up for a track driving school, to get a better feel for the car (sneaky birthday present...). However, while she enjoyed it in principle she is not exactly a high speed fanatic. All the other pushy guys in Mustangs and WRXes in that driving school hanging tight behind the Seven bothered her.

A Mustang hanging with a seven bothers me too http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/willy_nilly.gifhttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrinjester.gif

My wife really enjoys the cruising and socializing aspects of the car... I think for most part it's the UPS truck she hates http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif

I think Laura is happy that the car is my only vice these days. Though I think she'd be happier if I hadn't put so much money into it, post purchase (getting it up to snuff for registration/inspection, the fuel cel, etc.). She doesn't ride in the car that much...but we had a GREAT drive up to the Delaware Water Gap this past May on our anniversary. Over 100 miles in the Tilletts can put the hurt on your back, so she's quite the trooper. She has never driven it herself, despite having taken Skip Barber with me many years back.

Laura actually encourages me to use the car more than I do (still under 3000 miles), and is constantly pointing out good gaps in the weather...I should listen to her more often. I know she likes that our daughters both enjoy riding with me, though it scares her a little to put them into such a small car.

She had a good time meeting everyone at Skyline last year, and is looking forward to 7-7-7. However, the multiple recon runs (with and without her!) and late night database entry sessions I think she could do without. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/wink5.gifAl Navarro2007-03-19 06:38:34
