What's the lastest news on Bessie?

Bessie seems to have stopped posting on her condition. I hope she's still a member of this site. You'd think that either she or Al Navarro would have had the courtesy to keep in touch. I hope she's not shacked up with some low life foreign car of ill repute. You know how those Flighty English birds are. :rofl:

Its lovely to know that you have not forgotten or given up on me. Unlike my forgetful owner. :cuss:

 

Alas, I am still at Caterham USA Denver not much further advanced than my last photo. Yes I have lovely shiny new paint but I remain in bits. No wheels which will let me out so I can go terrorizing the neighborhood.

I have not even seen that sweet young Denver man called Skip who used to call by the workshop from time to time and caress my front clams gently....that used to get my brake bleed nipples erect I will tell you. :drool:

 

Last I heard of Al, he was at the NJ DMV agonizing over what vanity number plate to chose for me. I suggested PUSSIBOI but apparently it has already mounted the rear end of a Miata. Sort of appropriate I guess. He will probably end up getting something completely lacking sensitivity and style like FAST7 or BVRB8....sigh!

 

I know Al is the type of owner that will turn me into a shiny restored coffee table ornament in his man cave but I am despairing of ever being able to touch the surface of a NJ or even PA road where I can snarl my carbs and pant my intake in ectasy. Is it possible that I have found the type of owner that could not organize a piss up in a brewery, to use the English expression?

 

Can we start a petition here where the lovely members of USA7s would post their disappointment, and dare I say, frustration with the slow process of my restoration by your wonderful club's president?

Dear Bessie,

Nice that YOU checked in with us, seems that your owner has fallen off the face of the earth again. I thought you would have been back in NJ with plenty of miles on you by now. I know, He tells us all the time he is very busy... Maybe 2012 will be your year, if not, maybe a group of us will come out and get you, and finish you back here on the right coast..
