ronnie Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Hello from Athens. Here is my pride and joy. A restored, unmodified, 1962 Lotus Super Seven S2, powered by the 109E 1340cc Cosworth tuned engine. It uses the Standard 10 rear axle and stops through 4 drum brakes. I had been looking for a Seven (Lotus or Caterham) for many years, but when this one came up for sale in the UK, I jumped on a plane a bought it. http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h139/reymondos/Seven/seven032-2.jpg I use it mainly for Sunday Morning runs, regularity rallies, and the occasional trackday.
twobone Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 So pretty and just as Colin Chapman wanted it! Congrats on owning such a gem! You must have to pinch yourself every time you drive it.
escondidoron Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Welcome aboard Ronnie. I too have a '62 Super. It's also yellow and still has it's original 109E Cosworth. Mine has the original TR10 rear axle as well. It also has Spitfire disk brakes in the front. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6153/6142568074_2b49277805_b.jpg Drop me a PM. I'd love to compare notes.
locost7018 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Ronnie, I hope you are staying safe over there. News reports don't sound good. Russ
7veloce Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Ronnie, Welcome to USA7s! You have a very nice 7. Your video on the other Lotus site was great. Tom
