Karl, are you still doing the SCCA school at the end of the month? I'm still planning on coming out to lend support.

Man oh Man, what a nice day at NJMP. Was at T-bolt today and it was nearly 70. I'm getting a lot more comfortable and was running in the low 1:40's. Much quicker than last fall.

Yes, I will be at the SCCA school at the end of the month. I had the good fortune to park next to a instructor for the school yesterday so I got a better feel for the event. Apparently they keep you running all weekend, no time to relax, you are either in class or on the track. It should be fun. Love to have company, but I don't expect to have much time to hang out! I'm glad to have driven Lightning yesterday, it felt great and I was able to follow Dermont's braking style - none in most corners, just lift a little.

Tom & Mike, I hope you get as nice a weekend for your members' day next weekend.

I'm still waiting on a starter I ordered from the UK. Was supposed to be here last week, but was not shipped when promised. Don't know if it will be here in time for the track day. Had an offer to go Steelhead fishing, so if it doesn't come in in time. I'll be fishing instead. :deadhorse:

I have a fire system (OMP Electronic) and a Fuel Cell (ATL) in the car now. The roll cage is still in question. The tech guys from the South Jersey seem to be creative for the driving school, but for any races it looks like a full cage will be required. I'm worried that a cage big enough to fit me will make the car too top heavy...

You would also need a fire suit and neck restraints to participate with SCCA.

After our little get together, I headed out with the Italian stallions. The little 7 can keep up just fine, except when the roads weren't smooth and had concerns about the rear bouncing around. Live axle kept me a bit slower, but I caught back up, 'til the stop sign, where I got behind a few trucks and apparently didn't pick the right turn at the next light.

Wish I had a real suspension. Oh well, fun anyway.
