mrmustang Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Legality of this? Not legal in any state in the US :svengo:
speedwagon Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 it is done on a regular basis--BUT-- for this one the cat is out of the bag, and the value is now zero, the action is illegal and one could lose their car. any time you do something like this and another knows about it you are at risk. in most states even offering to sell a title is a felony.
lucky dawg Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I was hoping a forum member would not be making it too easy for someone to sell a stolen car or to represent a Lotus as authentic when it isn't. Thanks for thinking it over and removing the post.
SevenAmerica Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Any one looking to buy a genuine Lotus Seven is well advised to check with the Lotus Seven Register (http://www.lotus7register.co.uk) whether there is suspicion or not. Paperwork might get you a license plate, but by itself, a title does not make a car genuine. It's all too easy to fudge one as we almost saw here.
