xcarguy
austin sr, I know Brian Anderson personally and took Goldie out for a spin back when owned the car (not long after the photo shiot). I remember Goldie as being a well-designed, well-built car. Good luck with the sell.

Sparky
I have been lurking on this thread, and I decided to let you guys know I think I will sell Goldie. She is an amazing car with a distinguished history, but I want to finish some other projects (and start a few) and I don't have enough room these days. Apple took down MobileMe and so austinmotorworks.com does not work, FYI. I'm in the same spot as Aront. About the same height, live in Texas (Austin for me) and shopping for a trackable seven for low- to mid dollars.

Sparky
Adding: for me a key is knee room. Center console type things very much get in the way, irrespective of the type of car. This may be a problem I can't solve without shortening my right leg.
MBEARDEN
Foot room is important too...my Birkin has adjustable pedals...I am 5" 9" and can't even touch the pedals at the longest setting ...the pedal box is narrow though...if you are much above a size ten shoe you may have foot room issues. I think all of these cars are hot and there is no air flow in the foot area...equaling hot feet.
Evan78
Some ducting or a fan wouldn't be too hard to take care of the heat issue, right?
Kitcat
Search: Hot feet, for one of several threads on this perennial issue.
austin sr
Apple took down MobileMe and so austinmotorworks.com does not work, FYI. I'm in the same spot as Aront. About the same height, live in Texas (Austin for me) and shopping for a trackable seven for low- to mid dollars. Thanks for the info Sparky. I will have to set up a web site at another host I guess. Until then I will be glad to send some information if you want. The S2K has as much or more knee room then other 7's. It also has adjustable pedals so my 6ft 200lbs fit comfortably. The S2k tunnel is not centered width wise , so the driver has a couple of inches more room then the passenger. The foot room is on the small side, but my 10.5's have no problems. If you would like to give her a look, I can drive down and meet you half way someplace. If it was not so hot we could go drive the Backbone. She likes that area! Here is a link to some video. I have insulated the foot wells, and heat is only an issue on longer trips, and mostly on the passenger side as it is close to the exhaust. I had the exhaust ceramic coated on a car I sold, and thought this would help with the heat. I planned to try it on Goldie, but have yet to do it. Loren used the insulated coating “Lizard Skin” http://www.lizardskin.com on the cockpit interior. He said it made a big improvement in heat as well as noise. Xcarguy, thanks for the kind words. I can tell you this car has changed my life. Brian did a wonderful job on this car. He built it to showcase his design and take on the fastest in the industry. mca
My former car is now up for sale by the current owner. Same price that I sold it for in November 2011: $14,000 It's a recently built Locost with Miata Turbo power. I can vouch for the quality of the build and the quality of the driving experience. The car is VERY fast: 240whp in 1420lbs.
