I have heard of a guy named Jim down here in Atlanta with an SV that said he would buy Focus engines out of junk yards for a few hundred bucks and just ran them hard till they died and then would get another. I had known about it before you posted, also hesitated because of the Miata driveline. Decided to go for it Saturday - but because of a holdup on their end didn't get a down payment until this morning. You caused me a very nervous weekend! Just to complete the story, I was planning on going to check the car out for Martin this morning when the dealership opened at 9am.
