dinanminicooper
Dyno'ed my Megabusa today, after fixing many oil leaks in dry sump system and also getting race alignment plus NASA tech inspection for PPIR event in late September. Prelim results - 147 hp and 94 tq. Wasn't there for dyno (sad) but happy with results on a 12k miles motor. I think! 1st open lapping day next Friday at High Plains Raceway. Excited! dinanminicooper
Of course, results are at the wheels...
Kitcat
Interesting results also occur at the track, wh/tests the whole package, as you obviously know. Hope to read your initial impressions soon. It may take a while to get the hang of the car, it will be so much more direct in providing feed back, ideally in a forgiving manner. Croc
BEC need their weight to put the whole thing in context. How heavy is your Westfield?
Kitcat
On 2/20/10 Hank reported here that the car weighed 1184 lbs w/full gas tank (12 gallons). So roughly 1100 lbs dry (abt the same as my Duratec Birkin). The full cage added 60 lbs and he had a heavy wheel tire combo. Still, not as lightweight as one wld think. dinanminicooper
We'll see how it goes on track. It is a solid NASA TTS car. Competing mostly against 996 GT3s in my region. My only concern is wind. I think it will accel/brake/corner faster, but Cd is negative factor.
Croc
That is heavier than I expected. Must be the full cage - probably 100lbs in its own right? Aero does make progress slower going once you get over 100mph.
dinanminicooper
Well the oil leak not yet solved. Hopefully tomorrow it will be after scavenge pump o rings do the trick. Weighing soon, thankfully I have removed some fat from my ass recently. HPR Friday open lapping. Will weigh before NASA TT at PPIR in 2 weeks and report back.
