Open Lapping at High Plains Raceway - Sept 7 2012

Here are a couple of videos I took yesterday in my 2009 Westfield Megabusa. They are relatively long and unedited, but I figured I'd post anyway. On the first video, I had already done a couple of sessions prior to this, but tires are heat cycled out and I am having trouble getting enough heat into the Hoosiers in any case, so naturally I spun on the first lap. Rest of the session went better, but I did have some shifting issues. Still learning the car for sure!

Second video has a different perspective, a really nice Porsche RSR and a Porsche RS America featured. Did run off grass after locking up brakes near middle of video after being pursued by a Caterham and a monster EVO. Lots of footage of some cool cars in front of me that I was usually able to pass. Except for nice red 997 GT3 in front of me during the closing laps.

Good videos. Your driving well and in the second video you seem to have the shifting down. High Plains looks like a really cool track.

She goes nice!!! :cooldude: I like that! By the second video you were dialed in well. I could see the impact of older tires with the front not wanting to turn in to apex at times and the rear sometimes getting twitchy but very nice.

 

Great circuit too. More of a hp circuit which should disadvantage you on higher traffic days.

Sorry Matt but despite the Megabusa being an absolute track weapon I already have 2 sevens and really cannot justify a third! Please open the sale up to the forum as it is not right I should be greedy!
