5 runs, and everything was packed up by 3:15.

1st run was 2 360s and an off course. i absolutely need real tyres. the zv1s just don't stick. revving beyond 5000 broke the wheels loose on the dirty asphalt. someone said i had a clean run of 52.xx.

I am impressed if thats true. best times were 49 and 50 second runs. the fat boy will handle like a champ when new wheels and tyres arrive next month hopefully.

after my final run, i went shotgun in my friend's swapped impreza. he then ran a 52.0x for his FTD and won his class.

Yeah, if you think your car handles now, stick a set of 13 inch slicks on it. You'll feel like you're on rails. And you will have FTD, unless there's a shifter cart. Once I drove Michael D.'s with slicks, I had to get a set. No comparison. Just do it!! Tom

BTW where was the Autox?? Meadowlands Complex??? 5 runs and done by 3:15 is great. When's the next one?? I may join you. Tom

we all attribute the time to Mothers Day. In fact is was officially titled ,"Mama told me to do it".

If my fastest (4th) run was clean, then i was tenths of the SM FTD seen above(on RT 615s). so, first autoX, not really walking the course, on old AS tyres, only using partial power, and poor technique i think the se7en design is an autoX lion!

i wonder if with minor improvements to technique and the re01r tyres (already considering the 15" r300 wheel as an autoX/ summer set), i can a 10% improvment in times, 5-6 seconds on such a course. which is several seconds faster than the open FTD. thats pretty damn amazing. and i have learned it to damn addictive:_deadhorse:

edit: nassau colessium, uniondale, NY. only 2 others w/ NYR SCCA scheduled for this year. NY BMWCCA has a bunch on saturdays there. If it wasn't for the NNJ SCCA autoX at the Meadowlands being mobbed, i'd consider going there.
