AndyB
Is it still the same sport? Is it really progress? http://www.pbase.com/sarrana/image/105849143.jpg
JohnK
Is it still the same sport? Is it really progress? An at-times unfortunate property of us humans is our appetite for novelty. As lovely as this car is and as much as I miss seeing such things, the people who ensure that there's income to support such things have to keep people coming to races, and most of the people who come to races want to see something new and different (even if it happens to be really ugly), and the governing bodies struggle to keep drivers alive, a somewhat level field of competition attainable to more than one or two factories, ..... And as the world turns, we lose some things and (hopefully and with a bit of patience) gain others. Thanks for the picture, Andy, can you ID it for us? AndyB
All I know is the car is one of my all time favourite F1 cars a Lotus 33. Here it is again. Kitcat
The photo looks like a Formula V, with skinny tires and minimal body (Note the driver's head above the roll-over bar: what could go wrong?).
AndyB
It should look similar to several formulas because it was Mr Cooper and Mr Chapman that started the modern race car layout.

The wheels are too wide for FV. It looks like a early 60's F1. Or you could try this... http://www.f1-67.com/index.html

Kitcat
Ya know, way back when, some early Lotus sevens ran in F1, w/o their fenders. They dont seem to have evolved as much as the F1 cars have:).
