Watts linkage kit vs radius arms?

Hey i was just wondering what the difference is between these two rear suspension styles. Is there any performance advantage to the watts linkage? I have seen a lot of cars with this option.

the caterham site says the watts linkage kit replaces the existing radius arms

Here's a basic example of how they work

Now instead of controlling the lateral movement of the axle as shown in this article, they control the fore-aft movement. This helps reduce roll-steer. I can't tell you if they would be beneficial or not on a dedion car, however.
