xcarguy Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I suppose the virus is now pandemic. :smash: . . . . . :Chevy_anim:
xcarguy Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Brunton chassis or a copy? Not a Brunton; RHD and pic is from the UK. ????
jlumba81 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Just curious since Factory Five ships their kits worldwide. Was wondering if Brunton did the same.
xcarguy Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 That's a very good question, and one I've never bothered to ask. But, having said that, I'm fairly certain those aren't Brunton chassis.
NVP66S Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Black fenders and scuttle resemble Westfield, but the chassis and body are nothing like my car. They used to offer the SEiGHT but that had a Rover (formerly Buick) engine. Where did you get the pic? Edited May 9, 2014 by NVP66S
manik Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Not a Westfield at all, but they *did* rip off the bodywork from Westfield.
xcarguy Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 I ran across the photo somewhere on Pistonheads. I did a bit of research and believe the car to be a Roadrunner Racing Ltd SR2: http://www.roadrunnerracing.net/index.php/the-sr2
xcarguy Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Found the Pistonheads link: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=30&t=1207727&i=40&mid=0&nmt=Road+Runner+SR2+build+
Z3 Stalker Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 It may be deceiving but that frame does not look as substantial as a Brunton frame, although there is lots of triangulation.
AndyB Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Not a Westfield at all, but they *did* rip off the bodywork from Westfield. That's funny
MightyMike Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 It may be deceiving but that frame does not look as substantial as a Brunton frame, although there is lots of triangulation. I immediately noticed that too.

Yeah, there's certainly times when you can rely on your eyes and gut feeling and don't need FEA to declare that a chassis is somewhat lacking for the job.
