Dzus Fasteners for bonnet?

Have 8 Dzus fasteners holding down my Series 2 Seven bonnet. Is this original? Can't find any verification.

Donnie - The Dzus fasteners are not original. I think your car would have come with two toggle-type clamps in the rear and two spring-type clamps holding down the front (or maybe four toggle-type clamps?). They look similar to these, but are cast instead of stamped. The cast version are very difficult to come by and have not been reproduced by anyone, to my knowledge.

One wonders why Dzus would have been retrofitted. Now if I install alternative fasteners I'm left with the holes. Thanks for the input.

I've had some holes patched in mine. From the outside you can't even tell there was a hole. Car is polished aluminum. Not cheap but it can be done.
