  1. It sounds as if InterCity will finally p/u the 7 Tomorrow, or Sat. I never knew me to be this patient, but will likely have to be again to get titled and plated in TX. Custom Vehicle, as a Replica '67 Lotus 7, sounds to be the way to go in TX. If anyone has experience with the new Mar/12 law, I'd love to know! Jimmy
  2. Anxiety is killing me ..... Pebble Beach has all transport on the left coast. Still probably 2 weeks away from p/u. If the car was actually titled, I'd have made the journey.
  3. Jason, I took your advise on Intercity. It is now $1300 from OH to TX, but they are knowledgeable and efficient. Problem with transport right now is Pebble Beach. It will take me at least 3 weeks to get the Birkin I bought. Good luck with the sale! I really wanted your Birkin, but it was a bit out of reach at the moment.
  4. Bill, You are obviously too smart for me ...... I have dealt with eBay for as long, and likely way longer. Assuming that you are the second high bid with a rating of 266, please do not go there. Most of my 827 positive ratings are on sales. My apologies for winning Robert's Birkin!
  5. I have a line on an engine, that was partly my choice of this car. It is from a friend of my Dads that used to be the Lotus Dealer (50's-70's) in Dallas. I don't yet know (and he can't remember) if it is a twink or a BD?. So I get to go help clean out his warehouse, and there is quite a bit I'll likely want (valve grinding, seat cutting, knurling, dizzy setup, NOS 7 bonnet, and etc).
  6. Robert has a sale on his Birkin. The Birkin is coming to TX. Still trying to figure whether to drive, or transport. I was seriously hunting a Caterham, but figure this will be a good launch into a Se7en. Can't wait!! ps: Robert has a Zetec that was to come with the car. I don't want, or need, it. So please contact Robert if you have an interest in it.
  7. Just so that fair, is fair: I have bid on car number two in 3 different auctions, and truly never felt bid shilling was occuring. I have had conversation with the owner, who seems to be quite genuine. He is also a member of this board. We do disagree on the value of the car in todays market. Jimmy
  8. Hi Jason, It seems that the car has a history of bouncing back and forth between TX and CT!! If we can find a reasonable method of returning car, and parts, back to TX again, I am very interested. Many thanks, Jimmy
  9. Thanks for the heads up! Don't watch much TV, but this I might watch.
  10. Thanks for the thoughts, Bruce!
  11. Sorry, still trying to decide if I want any DeCidedly French parts on my future car! :cooldude: Just for Grits and Shins, ya' might even find me putting SU's on one. Except for the problems of the nipples poking the bonnet .....
  12. Hopefully not taking this too far off subject: Is the "scholarship suspension" a de dion, or live?
  13. And an antenna!! It does look nice. Would this car have had the de dion?
