  2. Finally thanks Tom and Croc for such a great event and I know I need to turn into the bowl faster and I missed the apex on 7 etc etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Me no longer chasing my twin oh and thanks Dave didn't realize it was quite this close until I watched the video. Data says I turned in 5mph faster this lap than any other........... I reckon that's about 4 mph too fast. https://vimeo.com/134051329 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Seb sorry to read your news take care of Kelli. As Croc says if you can't get down this weekend there's always next year, or your welcome to attend any members days at NJMP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have a spare set as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. As I track my car all the time, I recently upgraded to a dry sump system and have the Caterham baffled wet sump available if anyone's interested. Less than 1 year old fits the Duratec engine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Anyone know whether the caterham R500 Duratec dry sump set up uses -12 or -10 fittings? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm coming down to it being user error on my side. The wet sump oil level is critical and I know now that I wasn't careful enough to determine a normal fill level when I built the car. So there's a reasonable chance the oil level was too low, a dry sump is of course far less sensitive. Also for hard track use I think the car needs better oil cooling. I'm going to install the Laminova water to oil cooler on the rebuild. Marginal oil levels and oil temperatures are a disaster waiting to happen. So my bad! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. A little defensive for sure but said they get 1 call a week during track season for this issue. My R300 kit was supplied with an oil cooler, I wondered if Seb's R400 was supplied with a bigger cooler. Your Cosworth engine has updated big end shells, I suppose they may be more heat tolerant, but everyone tells me oil selection is critical. I'm switching to Millers 10W-60. What do you use? I'm certainly still very nervous now!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'll definitely be running before the event one way or another. Had long conversation with Raceline today. They are very certain that wet sump is bulletproof so long as oil level is maintained 5L (+ oil cooler and lines) and oil temperature NEVER exceeds 100C 212F. I stupidly wasn't monitoring oil temp. Raceline also question the size of my oil cooler. Temperature limit applies to dry or wet sump engines and comes from a ton of dyno experience. Accusump looks interesting, I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Not sure of the best way to ping an individual....but I was trying to reach out to kitcat as Tom told me you had an issue with your donor Duratec. I was at NJMP playing on lightning on Thursday and on the 4th session I felt the engine lose power and headed for the pits. I could hear it knocking and stripped it today and found the big end bearing in pot 1 was destroyed. I'm running CR500 tires, so didn't expect oil starvation problems. Is this a pre existing donor engine condition, or a fundamental problem and I need to fit a dry sump? Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Steve Perks has updated lightened, rocket ratio gear sets or complete gearboxes available. http://www.spcomponents.co.uk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Believe I'm registered but this is the first time so......... Can you see if I am? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I just got an installation template for the Aero Whiskers from Caterham. If I was smart enough I'd post it here. Also I was trying to contact the Adrenaline Gallery to buy the license plate holder but the phone numbers out of service and the website doesn't work. Are they still in business? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'll be there with Seb's twin car. Carrie will be with me for some of the time, not sure about any other guests yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Justin, Any feedback I'm mid build and need to make a decision pretty soon. Simon
  18. If this box is still up for sale can you PM me. Unfortunately I'm on the East coast
  19. OK found the pic. Now my Niece worked for Hillary on her last campaign and hopes to again (if she runs), so may be we can get the car signed which should have a significant effect on its value!
  20. I think Carrie has one on her phone I'll check when she gets back from work
  21. Thanks to everyone for making Carrie and I feel welcome as ever, fantastic event, stunning food, great company, guess it can only get better next year if I have my car by then........ come on Caterham
