  1. Found these Lotus related parts for sale on Craigslist Wichita, Kansas. They are located south of Wichita about an hour. https://wichita.craigslist.org/pts/d/arkansas-city-lotus-engines-and-parts/7274954638.html
  2. Thank you Astro Bob for your soapbox rap!! It was good meeting you at the Ambush you mentioned. I found your conversations with others to be very interesting, since I am a non college graduate. I learned a lot. I believe that was your first Ambush. I have attended a few over the years. I let those you spoke of drive their pace and I always fall back and let them wait for me to catch up at turns onto various roads. But, I do take exception to you calling me stupid!! I had much fun following your buddy in the black Corvette and Bob Berube in his Stalker. I did notice you took off on your own and in my caring way, I thought perhaps you had gone to the gas station. I waited nearly twenty minutes at our first turn for you, but alas you never came. So I finally drove all alone to our destination for lunch. No foul - just missed communication on my part. Again, I'm glad I meet you and am glad that you are enjoying your Corvette, since I also do. 3. yes, the WCM Ultralite went to Houston it was a light blue color. Full canvas top, doors, air conditioning. A Stalker owner in Florida had rear exhaust on his car and a roof fabricated in aluminium. He and his daughter traveled to all US mainland states. Another Stalker owner fully hard topped his car and had put air conditioning and heating in but never hooked those up. So, kind of like Apple and Samsung ---- copy, modify, update, make better.
  4. The Diva looks a little like a Panoz with a seven nose, slightly different rear fender lines too. http://www.wirewheel.com/1992-Panoz-Roadster-for-sale.html Dale
  5. I pulled my 2.0 Zetec out the top set it on 2x4s across the frame to pull the head. Trans stayed put. I didn't even unhook the 0il pressure gauge plastic tubing from the engine. replaced the clutch release bearing before going back together. Dale
  6. Here's the deal. The Stalker was developed from a 2.8 GM v6 platform. Then the SC 3.8 became the engine of choice, but after one was converted to a v8 then most folks seemed to do the v8's. Scott took over and redesigned the Stalker into the M-Spec, but still offers that in a classic body style. Now they have out the Miata based model line. A 4 cylinder will fit in a Stalker and this is an example (the one and only I believe). http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=17181 There was one builder who went electric Stalker. There may be more Stalker knowledgeable owners that could verify or dispute this. Dale Birkin S3 Stalker V6 3.4na Lotus Europa S2
  7. This is strange. My Birkin came with a windscreen with electric heating lines (visible up and down lines and the electric connections each side). It has lights on the outer upper edge of the front fenders (rear stock lamps visible from side. It has a heater with blower motor. It has a shield over the cat and muffler area. It has the windscreen washer nozzles. These were all factory items. Kansas does not have inspections and I transferred the title over from Oklahoma like a normal car. Kansas simply added a notation that it was a replica. Sorry you are having this registration issue. Dale
  8. Stalker in Indiana just came up for sale. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/5766415684.htmlhttp://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/5766415684.html. The son has listed it for his dad who recently passed away.
  9. The Birkin, if it has a Bikini top will keep the sun off but allow air flow. Drivers left arm will sunburn and passengers right arm. Adding the doors will keep the side winds from blowing your ears off. The Birkini makes it much more bearable. Dale
  10. There are Stalkers in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. I'm in Kansas and have a Birkin and Stalker. Dale
  11. I forgot -- TA/Flying J and Petro - Pilot truck stops have apps for your smart phone and will locate those along your route. Dale
  12. You might try locating some seven car owners along your travel path. There are long stretches between Denver and Kansas on I-70, so plan fuel stops closely. Goodland is first stop in Kansas, then Salina, Topeka and lastly Kansas City. In a normal car Denver to Kansas City is a good days drive (at 75 to 80 mph). Denver to Goodland will be flat, not much to see and could be very windy cross traffic. Kansas on I-70 will have some rolling hills. Missouri will be flat again with a few hills. There are some Locost, Caterham and Stalker owners in the Lawrence and Kansas City area. I think there are Stalker and WCM Ultralite folks in the St. Louis area. The side doors are very good for longer trips and if the car has a Birkini it will be very helpful keeping the sun shadowed. All others suggestions are valid. 13. On the other side of that coin, Sherron bought a Birkin and loves it. I took her to see them and take a test ride. She's been a proud owner since 2006. Her and I drove to the top of Pikes Peak with her small Yorkie dog. She can't get in an Elise, but does get in the Europa and Stalker.
  14. Shane, The ring: simple, elegant, classy, just the right touch!!
  15. Kitcat, it is listed twice under mountain and great lakes. the one under great lakes worked. http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=17803
