Replacement cost would be in excess of well over $53k and closer to $58k. For example, there is a documented $10k in the engine, another $3.5k just in the 500 lb. ft. capable new G-Force 5-speed trans, $2.2k in the new tires, etc. Please call Stalker Cars if you need confirmation of this or go to their website. Scott Minehart who built the components and helped assemble this car makes a really terrific all-around car that can be used for autocross, track or made street legal as a 1962 Lotus Replica. 850-491-2222. Please text before calling so that I know the call is from an interested buyer.

The Regular Summary of Classified Ads of Se7ens Found For Sale
Anaximander replied to Croc's topic in Cars For Sale
No, Actually, it is a low mileage (about 44k) L33 lightweight aluminum engine with Summit mild cam and all new valve train with the sought after aluminum heads. All of the accessories including the FiTech Ultimate Fuel Injection system and computer are new. The transmission is new ($$$) as are the internals of the rear diff and all other components. The car makes approximately 400 horsepower and in my video, I show taking off in second gear out of 5 gears for better off the line traction. -

Barbox, I am surprised that you have not called me about my beautifully sorted and almost new Stalker Cars AXR? It is a little more than x2 the money as that seemingly kind of ragged out B Modified Locust but my Stalker is very much more refined with very conventional gear train. You can see my ad on the 2022 Stalker AXR. It will hands down eat that Locust for breakfast and is fully sorted with no stories. You can call the manufacturer, Scott Minehart at Stalker Cars and/or his father, Glen Minehart at 386-931-6435 and he can tell you all about it as a third-party person. If you want to ask ANY questions about my car for sale, you can call me and ask all the questions you would like and I will tell you exactly what is what. I have moved on to a new 2023 Corvette and at age 75, have decided to ride in more comfort at my age. You can call me at 850-491-2222 and just text me before calling so that I know it is not some solicitation call. Thanks, Dr. Bob, AKA Anaximander -
Kitcat, You have been a great supporter! Thanks much. It has been priced as a STEAL. I spent a tremendous amount of time, money and energy on the project and loved it! Again, the uses are endless. Scott Minehart of Stalkers Cars is currently building three new AXR's and they can be used for street, autocross or track purposes all at the same time if you configure it for all of those roles. It is one of the most competent track weapons and is a hoot to drive on the street and eat Hellcat's for breakfast without even breaking a sweat<grin>. The power to weight ratio and the way that the car is balanced makes it ever so easy to drive quickly if that is of interest. The sounds of the V8 are simply intoxicating and the bright red Miata color really has people turning their heads at the 8 autox events that it participated in after build completion at the end of 2022. FYI, Stalker AXR's have been placing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places consistently at the SCCA Solo Nationals. They are built to win and have fun while using USA sourced components that you can easily obtain if necessary. I have a video I made of my 7th and second to last autox event of this essentially new car:

Daniel, I was autocrossing the Yokohama Advan AO52's (all 4 tires on a Civic Si) that are TW rated at 200 and found that they are more realistically about an 80 TW tire. Much softer compound and grippy as all get out. They do wear rather rapidly in autocross events.

Stang70Fastback I grew up in Southern California and lived for many years in Northern Cali before moving to Florida. Having only spent 3 years of my life in snowy areas, I am amazed at how optimistic you are about all of the salt you are having to experience. I get a sick feeling when I think about the undercarriage. OTOH, these cars are meant for driving and I am quite impressed with your zest for life and unwillingness to let the elements slow you down. Good show and good luck with your new se7ven! Bob -
Avon Tyres has been bought by Nova Motorsport, UK
Anaximander replied to Anaximander's topic in Wheels and Tires
At https://novamotorsport.com/, they have expanded their initial website to include some of the aspirations the new company rising out of the Avon ashes will become. They now have a place to request more specific queries on the types of tires you are looking to buy. -

Croc, It is wonderful to see you back from the other side of the World. Due to your recent location, I would have thought that you might have fallen off the globe due to being on the "wrong" side of the marbel but I guess the sucking gravity we all experience may be in plentiful supply in NZ? -

Great news I think. Avon Racing Tyres, UK was bought out by a private company, Nova Motorsport, UK that was formed in August 2023 and they likely plan to use molds they must have purchased from Goodyear/Avon/Cooper and plan to manufacture tires that were formerly made by Avon. They developed the name Nova by reversing the letters of the original company's name and added Motorsport. If you go to their website, they just state to stand by and they will have news down the road so to speak. You can leave them your email and be on their mailing list for updates. This is great news for lots of us who really like Avon tires ( and slicks). I use them on my Stalker AXR and the A11 compound works well for me and I plan to get more tires when they start producing them. Thankfully, I was able to obtain some of the last available slicks in the sizes I needed for the Stalker and will be putting the new set on my car likely midway through this next autocross season. The front tires wear x2 faster than the rears so I had recently put on a partially used set of fronts and they should wear out about the same time as my rear tires.

It is a quick fix and seems to work well in my LS engine on 95 degree days here in Florida in my AXR. I notice that my temps actually come down while running the engine in grid awaiting permission to move up to the starting line in an autocross. Here are the specs: 2135 CFM; 17.2 ampere, 225 Watt heavy duty motor; 3.37" depth Lowest profile high performance reversible electric fan on the market I know you mentioned running the radiator fan on a separate switch. Make sure that the switch wire going to the fan isn't too wimpy. At least 12 gauge to keep it cool while running the current to the fan. On my last LS3/480, I ran a 10 gauge wire and it looked like an "electrical fire hose". Never can be too careful when trying to not overload a wire. On that car, I had burnt up a 16 gauge wire that simply could not handle the amps running to the fan.

Vipergeek, Did you ever install the Maradyne High Performance Fans M142K Champion Low Profile Series Fan that is 14" that I have in my Stalker AXR and are installed in most of the LS-engined M-Spec Stalkers? This fan is a like a hurricane and will really keep your engine cool if there are no other aggravating problems.

Wayne, It had been a while since I had looked at your reconditioning thread on a almost new car that sat. It is amazing what a labor of love is going into that car to have it back on the road where it belongs. Good for you for taking so much time while having what I suspect is a great time paying attention to all of the myriad details necessary to get this car on the road. Keep up the great work! Bob

Dan, The precision work you have done on the screen frame and pillars has really paid dividends. Have you had a chance to figure out that oil pump issue yet?

No longer for sale. You missed an outrageously good car and retrospectively, I am glad that for whatever reasons, it is still in my stable. See you at the autocross events! -

Dan, Take heart and if possible, try and enjoy the ride in terms of the build. When I was building my Stalker kit, there were times when I thought I would never complete the build and at times felt the reported "frustration and headache" that you have experienced. OTOH, when I was able to solve a problem that seemed almost out of my reach, the small victories kept me moving forward. It seems that most of my friends that have either built a car from a kit or rehabbed a antique car tell long tales of the frustrating moments when a seeming 1 hour job turns into 3 days of work and sometimes they have to let the project sit for a day or two before they ultimately overcome the hurdle of the moment. I think any of us who take on these projects experience those moments and a friend who is in the process of a second restoration has taken the attitude that at some point in time, he will have surmounted most of the hurdles and gets momentary periods of elation followed by periods of seeming despair for simple things that he overlooked. I think it is all part of the game and you are definitely in the game! Enjoy the experience as much as you can and when you get that first drive, I can assure you that at least some of the pain will evaporate.

Wayne, Given the tight toe box of your newly acquired car, I would recommend considering buying some Puma Speedcat driving shoes. They are designed to be narrow and will help you with proper foot placement on the accelerator, clutch and brake. They tend to run a bit small and so in some shoes I can wear a size 10, in the Puma's size 11 was ideal. You can find these at the Puma factory store or on Amazon.

@Cueball1 You ended up with a BEAUTIFUL Birkin! Stalkers are more brutish and in some ways less refined because they use a somewhat different philosophy than Chapman proferred. Fortunately, the eventual buyer of the XL on BaT will be using the car for track racing and with its mods and basic structure, it should be an absolute beast on a race track. It is true that our posts are merely two dimensional and it is sometimes difficult to fully express our thoughts and feelings about the subject matter that we are dealing with. However, it's the best we have going and I am glad that we all recognize that we are doing our best to communicate ideas and concepts about this unique class of cars.
