Hi evotel, Great pics of your car. Somehow I don't think you will be posting pics of our car in your site of Canadian Owners because ... you see ... um ... well ... it's just that ... er ... well ... (gulp) ... our car isn't really a Caterham. ... I'm really sorry! Honest, I really did want to buy a Caterham (Super7Cars.com) car. I wanted to buy the car as a kit because my 2 sons had plans to become mechanics (one an aircraft structures mechanic and the other as an auto mechanic) and I thought this would be a great way for them to cut their teeth (as it were). Unfortunately the Pecks would not offer their car to me as a kit. It seemed a bit odd to me at the time considering that Caterham's business model is based on kit cars but what can you do? Well, we found a Canadian Sevenesque manufacturer (Deman Motorsports) who offered the Busa Se7en as a kit (the Deman Motorsports SR7). Yes we did install the Busa motor and it is a stock motor. Here are some pics that were taken at his year's ABFM in Vancouver. Here are some of the car's specs: The Fabulous Busa engine (from a smashed bike) ceramic coated header, exhaust and muffler ... yes it's loud! Fully powder coated space frame wish bones, etc. Fully Independent front suspension Fully Independent rear suspension Aluminum Housed Limited slip differential Wilwood Forged Billet Dynalite Calipers/Disk Brakes(front) Ford Thunderbird Calipers/Disk Brakes (rear) 4 x "Fast" Aluminum Rims 4 x Falken 215 x 40 ZR17 rubber Digidash II datalogger Tilton Brake master cylinders with balance bar Momo 9 inch steering wheel 4 x Avo damper adjustable shock absorbers 4 x Springs for Avo shock absorbers 4 point safety harness Jaz fuel cell Weight: 1,012 lbs 0-60 ... 3.48 secs. In the end my kids and I had a great time building this car. As you will soon find out with your car, it's an absolute rocket! Welcome to the Busa club my friend! Cheers and Festive Felicitations! Fluke Motorsports UK multi-plane contoured diffuser £579.00 price excludes UK VAT (17.5% where applicable) http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/337112828_182_1.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1986955224_182_2.jpg PRODUCT INFORMATION Two-tier contoured, channeled diffuser in carbon-fibre. Designed for after-market replacement on Westfields and similar these diffusers extend from the rear bulkhead. This has a three-fold effect * reduced drag from the rear fuel tank area which typically acts as a parachute without underfloor covering * down force creation from low pressure area created by aerodynamic profile of the diffuser - increased further as the channels aid the airflow keeping it attached to the contour of the diffuser * cleanliness! - covering the underside rear quarter of the car as such helps to keep the dust, mud and much from coating your suspension, diff and fuel tank! Fitting the diffuser will require a small slot cut out at the back of the bodywork (~0.75" x 18" ) to accommodate the second tier. The diffusers are typically attached at the front by extending the floor pan out an inch or two and 'hooking' the front of the diffuser over this lip. The rear can be attached with tie rods or quick release Dzus clips (not supplied). It is worth bearing in mind that as this diffusers pulls down at speed it is worth spending time ensuring that it is mounted correctly and firmly. When ordering, it is useful if you can pre-measure the length you require (the measurement from your bulkhead to the end of the diffuser) as reduction in this length from the default may reduce the postage cost.
