  1. This guy seems to have the handbrake thing totally figured out.
  2. We've all seen this before. But this is how it's done! ... Note the hand braking.

    Blasphemy!

    Blasphemy! :7head:
  6. You might want to ask if this MK Blade has a reverse. Blades have sequential shifting but no gears going backwards. I don't know if you are looking for a track car or a street car but if you are thinking of putting this car on the road you might want to check with your local authorities to see if Bike Engined Cars will need a reversing box (ie. Quaife). I know that my car was rejected on road inspection because of no reverse. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=1876
  7. Speaking about dumbfounded looks, when they ask "wazza engine" and I say it's a motorcycle engine, well you can imagine the glazed over expressions! Then comes the curiosity: ... Well, where's the chain? ... It's got a drive shaft right there. ... Well, where's the transmission? ... That will be it right over there! ... What kind of a bike engine is it? ... A 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa. ... Well, why didn't you go with a Harley ... Because I wanna go fast! It goes on and on! It's just hilarious! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1222984515_SR7 at ABFM 1.jpg
  8. Yup, Se7eN Litres!
  9. The operative word is "can" . The fact is that these cars have always been sold in "kit" form and it's nothing to be ashamed of. http://www.caterham.co.uk/assets/html/showroom/starter_kits.html http://www.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/se.html … and Jeremy would know this for sure! … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xu67zA5V5M and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kgoIPgNLyE

  11. Well, mine is a kit car. Keep in mind that the Lotus Seven was spawned as (and Caterham, Westfield and others have built their their business models on) "kit" cars. Actually most people ask me "how old is it"?
  12. Facts be known,I am using the "chrome" screen (see profile) and everything reads just fine. I do like the new look though. Thanks everyone for the "Quebecois" reference but in all candor I have to say that any French used by me was the Grade 12 stuff that I learned about 40 years ago.
  13. This site has some simple math (for a simple ton) solutions for "Bending Tube". Apparently you don't have to be a rocket scientist to bend tube.
  14. This one's not bad too! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/6115744_patrick8rb.jpg
  15. Some Locosts having at it! Not my pic. I found this on the Locost UK site. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2022921601_brands2.jpg
  16. Another outstanding Se7en. Damn ... that's another great looking Se7en! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/449298037_miss-newark9.jpg
  17. Under the WTF Section. ... We do have a WTF Section, don't we? F1 Sevens at Brands Hatch!
  18. Here's another one that caught my eye. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1956537381_caterhamgirl.jpg Don't know who owns the rights to this but ..... Damn, that car looks good!

    Eleven

Speaking of Eleven's Here's a bloke I know here in the rain coast who is building one. Lotus Eleven Replica ... and here's his blog site http://www.roderickmclellan.com/3.html Yes, he is somewhat obsessed with (Lotus) cars. Cheers! (hmmm...maybe there will be a USA11s.org someday)
  20. Here's some pics I found on Fluke: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/827537415_zetec_04.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/939024562_zetec_16.jpg Nice! ... (my humble opinion)
  21. That's nuts!
  22. Anger management!... Is that the guy's muffler?
  23. Wow Mazda! ... This is Kool! It's really great looking.
  24. No matter how you slice this pie, I still think you will be best advised to find a new space frame. Re: Woody Birkin North America LTD 742 East Main Vacaville, CA 95688 707 448-3322 (Woody Harris) ...also 630 584-1486 (George Hiilard) Here's your Birkin Build Doctor too! http://www.birkindirect.com/BuildDoctor.aspx If you are going to build your own space frame, read this: http://www.cheapsportscar.net/ and buy this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0760322872?tag=buildiacheaps-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0760322872&adid=0368K4WPJBCFYCTFFAER& Because I am neither brave enough to do a "scratch" build or rich enough to buy a Caterham, I built mine from a kit: http://www.deman-motorsport.com/index.htm There are lots of other seven kit manufacturers out there too! Good Luck!
  25. I agree. There are a lot of kit manufactures out there that can offer up a space frame, panels, wings, etc. I think you would be better off to find a "good" donor (ie smashed Miata, etc.) then do a build using a New Kit space frame, panels, wings along with other goodies.
