  1. The weather looks just fantastic for Saturday. If you haven't signed up but want to go, just show up. For those in the greater Boston area, Show up at the Randolph Comfort Inn at 7:45 or earlier. I should be there at 7:30. Just look for Sevens in the parking lot. We will leave at 8 AM unless we get delayed. There is a gas station and small convenience store on site. For those of you who will join us in Sandwich, we expect to meet up around 10 am; we will give you an ETA when we get going. We'll have ride badges for everyone. The Sagamore bridge work is planned to be finished by the end of the week, so we should only have regular traffic on the way to the Cape and back - this is very good news! Cheri, Olivier's partner after which we named the ride, will be our support crew in a "regular" car. She will drive ahead and meet with us in Sandwich and in Wellfleet. The route was laid out in Ride With GPS. If you have this software you will get turn by turn directions if you load the route at departure. The url for the drive down to Wellfleet is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42761966 and the return route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42761966 If you don't have Ride with GPS you can load the following files into Google Maps. On your phone, click the urls and you should end up with the route loaded into Maps. The route to Wellfleet is https://www.google.com/maps/@41.9487329,-70.718499,10z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!6m1!1s1Tpwhsmo07jm4rurNY_6V0EzoN7SRsSs and the return route is https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?hl=en&hl=en&mid=1tC3b2fAA9U2z1VXbsKeWs41bILIKRhw&ll=41.89186092367446%2C-70.5751980841392&z=9 . Just open this email on your phone and click on the URL. If you have a navigation app that can load GPX files I have attached them to this email. Now for some practical details: I will bring tools, a spare wheel and all fluids, including a 5 gallon can with gas. Here is a list of phone numbers: Anker Berg-Sonne 978-764-2564 Olivier Aries 617-201-8906 If anything comes up, call us! Olivier will probably lead and I will most likely take up the tail end. 2. Join us for the first American “Fish and Chip Run” on May 13, 2023 On Saturday, May 13 th, Olivier Aries and Anker Berg-Sonne are inviting all Seven owners: Lotus, Caterhams and replicas within driving distance of Boston, Massachusetts to join us on a blat from the southern suburbs of Boston to Wellfleet on Cape Cod. This blat will be the American version of the Taffia Fish and Chip which runs through Wales on the same day, right across the Pond from Cape Cod. The “Yankee Fish & Chip Run” will take the finest back roads of the South Shore and Cape Cod. We will leave from Quincy in the morning, arriving in Wellfleet around noon to enjoy lunch at Mac’s on the Wellfleet pier. It will be your choice whether you want to caravan with us on the drive down, the return trip, or drive by yourself. One-way trip distance is approximately 105 mi. More details will be published as we get closer to the date. This blat is not a club event and the organizers will bear no responsibility for when, where and how fast you drive. We plan to drive at a leisurely pace and enjoy the (hopefully) great weather, the views, the wind in our faces, and the roar of our engines. Email us if you are interested to receive the details as we get closer: anker@ankersoft.com or call at 978-764-2564. We look forward to having a great time with you and your Seven!
  3. The R888Rs are fine for track, but not for autocross. It is near impossible to get heat into them, even with a 1 mile+ fast course. The temperatures have to be in the high 80s before they get decently warm. It is weird to have to put blankets on my tires when everybody else is spraying theirs!
  4. I would love to see some pictures. Thanks/Anker
  5. I had the odometer on my 1987 VDO not work intermittently. I decided to send it to erics@southernelectronics.com refurbish it completely for just under $400. A good value and worth it because there probably are other parts that need replacement. Anker
  6. How much? I would fit perfectly in my 87 SuperPrint! Anker
  7. I disagree that it is a distributor problem. It is much more likely that is an acceleration pump issue. Anker
  8. Does it come with the wiring harness? Ankere
  9. Accel Automotive in Waltham fixed a hesitancy problem on my 1700 Crossflow engine. They fixed it by re-jetting the idle on my Webers. They really know what they are doing and their workshop had a lot of classic gems being worked on. I thoroughly recommend them. Google "Accel Automotive Waltham" and you will see all their contact information. Anker
  10. Thanks MV8. I did find the right parts. 8" Ford drum brakes. Anker
  11. Would anybody here know where I can find two sets of rear brake shoes for the above car? I can't find any information on what car and model they were sourced from. Thanks/Anker
  12. Look up Sevens and Elans, owned by Chris Tchorznicki in St Augustine. He has built, serviced and supported Caterhams for many, many year. He built my Supersprint in 1987.
  13. The car is supposed to have some rake. It does look a bit extreme, but you need to measure the ride heights front and back to confirm. Anker
