  1. So I am going quite-I have been a bad boy to long- I am doing this to my Fisher Fury-its just like a 7 with a side pipe and turnout in front of the wheel. My collector exits with 2.25 pipe-and I had a 5 inch round (glasspack) with a 22 inch long body-and a 90 degree turnout tip. This all weighs about 20 pounds and put a strain on the isolation bobbin/rubbers, I replaced the 5 inch muffler with a 3.5 inch--lighter but snarley loud. One last thing the Fury, unlike a Seven, encloses the side exhaust in a fiberglass pontoon it is well heat shielded inside but-a fire "risk"-so I like cooler muffler body materials and wish to keep the body away from the fiberglass so 4 inch body good-5 OK-long like 22-24 inch. So at the moment I am into rebuildable with stainless steel wool. Units from Coast Fabrication-there bodies are 4,5 inches. They uses Stainless steel bodies-but I am interested in a carbon fiber body for surface temp reasons-will a carbon fiber exhaust be cooler than steel, or stainless? The Coast Fab. is light but I am looking for isolation bobbins that are stronger/reinforced-any suggestions ? Anyone have a surplus Caterham carbon Fiber silincer? Thanks Kevin PS the fury is going like stink-the supercharger is on an electric clutch and when it engages-its swell.
  2. The FURY is being kept and driven and the KUMBOs are old but working but I need stickies. My experience with 7s is that my tires never wear out they just get old, on average I change tires every 5 years but perhaps 2000 miles. So something for 15x7 rims-195/205-40/50s-15, I promise to keep them warm over the winters. Kevin
  3. Drove it , love it, taken off market Kevin
  4. Sale pending
  5. Thars helpful advice Thanks
  6. Looking for a car not advice
  7. I have seen them come and go in the mid 20s-I have owned four 7s and have experience, For someone who's wanting an easy sale-with a buyer that knows 7s Kevin
  8. Looking to "Bucket List" the Pacific Coast drives this September/October. The GM engine with its right side exhaust is important the wide or narrow body less so. Experienced small car owner-have funds, wife still wonders but goes along-This is geared to spend time with grandchildren in So Cal- Kevin 301 229 8820
  9. Joe, I put it in race-cars.com for 33K so there are more pictures there-I have sold two sevens with them over the years-If you need more write me direct at lotusman1951@yahoo.com and I can send them to your email. Its together and functioning but still under break in and I am waiting for a dumb fuel filter kit as I broke a sealing Oring Kevin
  10. Taking the transmission out and putting the car back together always improves the breed. I am just at the point where I am replacing the seat and steering wheel. It runs in the garage with 7.3 miles recorded on the first test run 3 months ago-I'll see if my transmission work, works out. Fingers crossed for test ride. My house backs up to the Washington DC Parkway system-so the ride is always great Soon Kevin
  11. Hi All-its really just a special car question-pretend its a 2013 Caterham with emissions issues-instead of a Miata. So there is this Miata 2013 with mods and it has a rebuilt/salvage title-world this work in Maryland? For the EPA stuff is it just the State air resources doing a plug in check and reading codes? So if the mods are not causing CELs then it should pass? We have 2 1991 BRG Miatas, one automatic and the other with a supercharger and suspension, This 2013 car has a SC and automatic-so the 91BRGs become one newer car shared. The Fisher Fury I bought off this list last fall-had a failed transmission issue-no 4th synco-so its test drive made me take the car apart-and now back together again-Its always gets better with practice. Test drive soon-the Clara Barton Parkway is directly behind my home 13 mile loops with no traffic Stops and mostly 2 lane divided, limited access National Park. Deer at dusk an issue--and I painted it satin green. Blat soon So anyone help on the title?EPA issues? Kevin
  12. Transmission reinstalled-was missing 4th gear syncro-its ready to go
  13. Drove the car at speed, strong-But even with over $2000 in TRD parts in the tranny-no syncro in 4th-just crash-otherwise nice, good ratios. will need to take tranny out and check-make me an offer before I start teardown next week.
  14. Michael, anytime-waiting and tuning at the moment--call and visit 301 229 8820 Kevin
  15. I can send more pictures if I have an email address, no problem, just limited skills-I prefer webers to computers Kevin Loiusman1951#yahoo.com
  16. first attempt
  17. Hi All-I have been amazed at the Fury, This was an all option all upgrades kit that lingered on as an unfinished project for 18 years. At 63 years of age I have perhaps owned 50 english sportscars, at least a dozen Lotus and know quality. This is gonna be great. There have been Allards and Cobras, Astons. TVRs, MGs and Triumphs, and to be frank and honest I am kinda good with my Supercharged BRG Miata-so the Fury may go. It has been titled in Maryland as a 1965 Fisher Fury-everything works-at present I have 3 miles on it-and hope to sell before I fall in love with it. From the technical material that came with the car-there are about 25-30K in expenditures. The engine for example is in Formula Atlantic tune-except that it is also fuel injected and supercharged. The transmission has TRD Close ratio gears and quick shifter-no granny first The standard rack would be 3.9 turns this is the quick rack at 2.2 turns. Alloy hubs, lugnuts racing panasport wheels, alloy driveshaft, special lightweight spec frame, etc. Having been rear ended in a 7 I can tell you the peace of mind in Fuel cells. Yes it was a great deal at $7500-bought sight unseen, great risk=wonderful result. I finished the car in Speedways Racing Satin Green-added the RAF WW2 Roundrels, it has full touring hard and soft tops. I'll be firm with this price point. Kevin Kearney 301 229 8820 I'll post pictures as soon as I can figure out how-within 20 hours
  18. The Fury is done-running and doing final adjustments, I bought it after having sold my boat/yacht/trawler and needing something to fill the time. I have contacted the administrator to post it FOR SALE-I'll post pictures when its listed for sale.
  19. SPC is the source for Caterham/Westfield etc transmissions-I have bought transmissions from them for my brit cars-I am fairly sure they have the best chance of helping you with this issue. As they have helped me in the past
  20. Some pics of paint results Speedway Hot Rod Green with WW2 RAF Roundrels Its a wonderful car-a great surprise Kevin
  21. I have wetsanded to 320 and will black prime and then Satin Hot Rod Green-as the Camo base. I paint the "special" cars my former Allard K2 and Mercury GT, my Miatas get the $400 shop jobs. The project continues to amaze me with its-perfection. Having owned 4 7s, you become intimate with frame design. This Fury has a neat design-the muffler thru the lower body pontoon-needs watching-have laminated the space with 2mm silicon turbo heat stuff. Kevin
  22. I am looking into the satin hot rod paints for a topcoat-dark HOT ROD GREEN, then the nezt color-I found 10 inch RAF roundels but none with the yellow outer band like WW2 RAF. Made backing plates for the door hinges today Kevin
